Exchange and Return Policy
At Chemise & Co, we want you to feel amazing in your new clothes. If you need to exchange or return an item, we're here to help, always respecting EU and Portuguese legislation (Decree-Law No. 24/2014 and Decree-Law No. 84/2021).
1. Right of Withdrawal (Regret)
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, without needing to provide a reason.
2. Essential Conditions of the Garments
For a return or exchange to be accepted, the clothing items must strictly meet the following criteria:
Intact labels: The original brand label must be attached to the garment.
Impeccable condition: The garment must not have been washed, worn (beyond trying on), or altered (e.g., hems).
No odors or marks: We do not accept items with makeup, deodorant, perfume, pet hair, or smoke marks.
Original packaging: Whenever possible, you should return items in their original packaging to ensure protection during transport.
3. Hygiene and Special Care Items
For health and hygiene reasons, please note that:
Special Attention - Bodysuits: Bodysuits will only be accepted for return if they retain the hygienic protection sticker (if applied) and show no signs of use or direct contact with the skin. We recommend that you always try on these items over your own underwear.
4. How to Process an Exchange or Return
Notification: Send an email to contact@chemiseandco.eu with your order number and the items you wish to return.
Shipping: After our confirmation, you must send the items to:
Shipping Costs: * If it is a return due to taste/size, the return shipping cost is the customer's responsibility.
º If the item has a manufacturing defect, Chemise & Co. will cover all collection and reshipment costs.
5. Refunds
Once we verify the item's status in our warehouse, the refund will be processed within a maximum of 14 days.The amount will be credited through the same payment method (Credit Card, PayPal, etc.).
Note: Original shipping costs are only refunded if the order is returned in full.
6. Warranty (Defective Items)
If you receive an item with a manufacturing defect (e.g., undone stitching, broken zipper), you are entitled to repair, replacement, or a refund within a 3-year period (with the option of immediate refund within the first 30 days).
What is Covered by the Warranty (Manufacturing Defects):
The warranty covers anomalies resulting from flaws in the production process or materials, such as:
Accessories: Zippers that jam or break without signs of forced traction, or buttons that come loose prematurely.
Structure: Seams that come undone or open after normal use or after the first wash (provided the label instructions are followed).
Textile: Abnormal discoloration of the fabric (manufacturing stains) or excessive deformation of the knit outside of usual standards.
The warranty does not apply if the damage is caused by external situations or incorrect care, such as:
Accidental Damage: Tears, holes, or pulled threads caused by sharp objects, jewelry, or friction on rough surfaces.
Improper Maintenance: Garments that have shrunk, deformed, or lost color due to failure to follow washing instructions (e.g., washing at temperatures above 30°C when not indicated, use of bleach, or improper machine drying). Natural Wear and Tear: Loss of color vibrancy or the appearance of "pilling" (small balls) resulting from intensive use and prolonged friction over time.
Modifications: Parts that have been replaced by the customer (hems, sewing adjustments, or appliqués).
Important: To activate the warranty, the item must be presented along with the respective proof of purchase. In case of a confirmed defect within the first 30 days after delivery, the customer has the right to choose between replacing the item or terminating the contract (refund).
